Judi Chesshir and her book My Finny Fin Fin

Once upon a time, there were three little dolphins living with their mother. The time had finally arrived for them to go out on their own, and they were very excited. Each would build his home in the deep, blue sea, but they had to choose wisely or face the big, mean, hungry shark.

Escape into an underwater adventure with the story My Finny, Fin Fin.  It's a fun twist on the tale, The Three Little Pigs. Join the little dolphins in their search for unique homes of their own.
Meet the dangerous predator, the hungry shark, who discovers them.  What will happen to the dolphins?  Will they be strong enough to defeat the shark?  Dive into this underwater journey to see what unfolds.
My Finny Fin Fin is a wonderful children's book for kids ages 1 to 9. This cute underwater adventure comes with a free audio download on the last page of the book, so that the kids can have the story read to them. Parents and teachers can click on the “Lesson Plans” tab on this site to get ideas on how to use the book to teach their child comprehension skills.
My Review of Finny Fin Fin
If you’re looking for a fun story to share with your child or grandchild, this is it! Not only do you get to sit with them and turn each page in anticipation of the next scene, but this clever adventure is twice as much fun when you also get to listen to it as an audio book.  Kids and adults alike will be squealing with delight as they listen to this exciting narrated story.
Judi Chesshir uses her profession and gift of teaching to expound on a classic tale with a new underwater twist! My Finny Fin Fin has all the elements of an “under the sea” treasure hunt – starting with the eye-catching illustrations, and witty dialog, and ending with the perfect lesson in good choices.
I highly recommend this adorable book and commend Judi for following her heart in its cleaver conception.     - Deborah McCarragher, Author of  Mission Possible

Judi is a wife and a mother to 2 wonderful boys. Her oldest son is 16 and the youngest is 12. She enjoys watching her husband, Steve, play the drums in a few bands and coach their youngest sons sports.  Judi stays very busy attending her two son’s sporting events and can be seen cheering them on.
Judi has had the pleasure of being a teacher for 20 years. She has taught PE, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. She has spent many years modeling writing for her students.  Along with a strong belief that the imagination can take you anywhere, Judi wants to instill a love of reading and writing to each student she has the pleasure of teaching.
She decided in 2010 to try and have one of the stories she wrote in front of her 2nd grade class published after a few people mentioned she should. Judi decided to dedicated the book to her students since they helped inspire the story. She has always dreamed of having a book published and now her dream has come true.
What Others Have to Say About My Finny Fin Fin
5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended!, February 18, 2011
My Finny Fin Fin is must read for your little one! Author Judi Chesshir truly captured the gentle tug of the deep blue sea with this adventurous tale of three young dolphins venturing beyond the safety of their family and home. The story is well written, easy to follow, kept my interest, and lured me to want to know more. An important lesson is expertly woven into the story that your child will surely recognize. I listened to the audio while reading and felt that it was a wonderful addition to an already good story. The shark’s voice added character and will certainly cause a stir among a young audience. All in all, My Finny Fin Fin is a winner and I highly recommend this book to any reader, young or young at heart.
